Movin’ on up….
Well, it looks like we’ve got the place in Warwick. I’m excited; the area holds a lot of fantastic memories for me and will cut down on driving to get Eddie to work since he and my mother have made an agreement to carpool. We had some issues getting approved to get the place since our credit sucks so badly, but we seem to have gotten by that with an additional security deposit. If all goes as planned we start moving out on Tuesday and hopefully be completely out by Friday. Either way, we’ve already started the sorting and packing. We’ve started making lists of what we’ll need to buy, but we’re holding off on actually purchasing anything until we’re moved in and see exactly what we’ll need. Sooner or later I’ll fire up The Sims and bust out a floorplan of the apartment.
Nanny seems to be looking better. She’s still in a lot of pain which the morphine doesn’t seem to be helping, she’s not eating much of anything, and she’s weak as hell, but her humor is up and she’s got more color in her face. Eddie and I stopped in at the hospital last night before I went to work, and we’ll probably stop in tonight as well before we come home and pack some more. I’m supposed to go into work to do some more training today (on my day off!), but I don’t think I’m going to since there’s so much packing to do and I’d like to grab something to eat and then I need to go pick up Eddie. I can go in on Friday morning before my shift starts.
Once we’re settle into the new place, Eddie has grand plans to start working on his pop culture tattoo sleeve. The other night I spent an hour or so drawing on his arm with a black Sharpie, which was fun. Then he traced his palm print onto my thigh, which no amount of soap seems to be removing, even though the giant black toucan I did on him came right off in the shower the next morning. I’ve got mine picked out as well, a pair of swallows to be done in red and green (unlike normal swallows, naturally). Once I get them done I’ll post more about them and the deeper meanings behind them.
