It Was Only a Matter of Time…
… before I had a customer who made me use the Purell as soon as he was out of view. Man comes up to the counter, give his name, and those of 4 others in the same household. No problem. I look at the slips for all 5 and notice they’re all for the same drug: Tamiflu. Immediatly I start imagining some crazy guy preparing for Bird Flu and drugging up his family, but since it’s not a precautionary drug (like the flu shot), I quickly push that thought out of my head. I ring him up, chat briefly about how difficult it is to find a pharmacy that actually dispenses the drug, and he goes on his merry way.
I turn to the pharmacists on the bench and ask, “So what does a guy need with 5 doses of Tamiflu?”
The pharm passes over a bottle of Purell. “Curing the household,” she says. “Now wash up.”
