Yesterday was the most draining day of work I’ve ever experienced. Who would think that simply pushing my schedule up an hour would screw me up so much? I went in at 11am and left at 7pm, and was just exhausted the entire night. Thankfully I’m not doing all closing shifts anymore because L is back, otherwise I’d be even worse. Fortunately, Eddie rocks my socks and has dinner ready for me when I get home on late nights, and last night we had my completely favorite ghetto meal of ground beef, gravy, and rice. We ate it at the coffee table and watched Survivor and the rest of the Thursday night shows.
Every now and then I have a momentary lapse in reason when I completely forget that Nanny is gone. Eddie bought Knocked Up yesterday and said we were bringing it to Mom’s to watch this weekend, and my first thought was “I don’t think it’s a Nanny-friendly movie.” I still refer to her in present tense. Worse is the thought that I didn’t cry all that much, and I know that if it wasn’t for the Lexapro I’d be a fucking mess, and part of me feels guilty that I’m not.
Tomorrow we’re sleeping late. Then we might do laundry and play some WoW. Sunday we’re working and then going to Mom’s house as usual. It’s supposed to be comfortable weather, which makes me happy. I hate the nasty humidity and heat.
This week’s been a blur. I volunteered to cover a shift for one of the techs yesterday, and while I was only in work for about 5 hours, that still completely killed my day off. Granted, the paychecks for this week and next week will be great, but I know that I’m overextending myself. I’m sore, I’m tired, and my period was late last week. Thankfully next week I get an extra day off because of my graduation on the 22nd. And on another good note, I should be getting a raise any time now.
We’ve been playing WoW a bunch lately. We’re up to level 31. I’d like to hit 60 before the expansion pack comes out, but I don’t think it will happen.
And now, it’s time for Survivor. Hooray for Thursday night traditions!
Today is Thursday. It’s Survivor night. I leave for work in about 15 minutes, and we’ll see if I get to do anything interesting today. Probably not. At this point, I’d be content to work the pick-up registers for the next week, since that’s all I’ve been doing for the past 5 weeks.
Tomorrow is Eddie’s day off, and he plans on cleaning the kitchen and bedroom a bit in preparation for us getting a new bed and dresser this weekend. I work a short 4-hour shift from 10-2pm tomorrow, and will rturn home to clean some stuff up with him.
Today is Survior night. No idea what we’re going to have for dinner tonight, but it will have to be something fast since we don’t get home until around 7pm.
I’m thinking Taco Bell. Or Subway, but Eddie won’t want it.
I finished most of my animals for the big Easter order, and managed to get all but 2 posted online. There’s still 1 that needs eyes and a tail, but aside from that, they’re all set. I’m going to get a group picture of all 8 this weekend, but here’s a picture of the Bunny Baby.
I’ve got an hour or so before I have to get ready for work. Bleh.
Midterm score: 95%
Test score from this morning: 96%
We didn’t do much today aside from the test. The first part of the day was devoted to the test and a discussion over what could and could not be considered a lifestyle drug (ie. something not needed to be healthy) and whether or not insurance companies should cover certain ones, arguing about whether it was more cost-effective for the company to cover a prescription of Viagra, or run the risk of a man becoming depressed over the problem and then needing to cover the cost of therapy. Interesting. After break we worked on our resumes.
Current amigurumi project: Top secret *grin*
Seriously, it’s secret, and outside of maybe 2 people who would be familiar what it actually is, I’m not posting pictures until it’s completely finished, because I’m just that thrilled with how it’s turning out.
Random: Tomorrow is Survivor night, and as usual it is our night to pick our top 4 players and see who can go the furthest. I picked a winner a couple of years ago, so let’s see if it can happen again.
I was clipping Pickle’s nails and a claw flew into my eye. I don’t know if it came out or not, but my eye is fucking itchy as hell now.
