I finished the kitten for one of the girls at school. I’ve named her Violet, which is strange, considering she’s actually lilac in color. However, she’s cute, and I kinda like her. She’d not my color though; I prefer to have a deeper purple color. My teacher wants a llamma (so there’s at least two I need to make, right Anna?) for her daughter, who is in love with Napoleon Dynamite. Eddie wants a skunk.
And I have proof that my husband is crazy.

Um… yeah…. Because I will do anything for the love of Anne Geddes. *shudder*
I have just slathered my head in what can only be called the bestest purple color ever. I’m in heaven, and I can’t wait for the next 4 hours to fly by so I can rinse it.
After 4 hours of dye yesterday I managed to get a nice shade of purple. It’s still bluish on the top, but there’s several shades of purple in there and it just looks really nice. It’s a shame that I probably won’t be able to duplicate it when I re-dye it in a month.
After his nap yesterday, Eddie felt a lot better. He ended up wanting to get KFC for dinner, so we headed out at about 5pm or so to get some food, then spent the rest of the night playing FFXI. At about 8pm we noticed it had started snowing, so Eddie called the police to find out if there was a parking ban (there was) and moved the car into the driveway. He left this morning a few minutes early. I know this because Skittles spent the night in the bedroom and woke me up scratching and thumping his foot on the cage floor. Then I went back to sleep, waking up at about 9am after some really messed up dreams that I can’t remember right now.
We went to the pet store on Saturday and saw the most adorable little ferret there. He was about half the size of Skit and still had his fuzzy baby fur. He bit our fingers. We’ve decided that if we ever want to get another one we’ll adopt one who is already trained not to nip, but that’s not going to happen until we move.
This afternoon I’m going to enjoy my day off, fish myself a grilled cheese or 2, and play FFXI and level up my BLM a bit more. Maybe I’ll even find some cheap spells up on the auction block.
And just because I’m catching footage for the first time since Sunday night, let me just say that Sean Penn is looking old, and getting ugly.
I dyed my hair purple yesterday. I wanted to get a bright purple color, so I picked up some Purple Smoke dye from Special Effects, thinking it would give me a nice, true purple color. Oh, how wrong I was. I don’t mind the color at all, and would probably keep it longer than 3 days if it weren’t for the fact that I used most of the bottle and the coverage sucked, leaving me with a streaky blonde/blue/lavender/gray mixture. The picture makes it look blue-purple, but that’s not the best shot in the world; I’ll try to put a better picture up tmorrow after my camera has been charged up and before I start in with the next purple color.
Went back to work today for the first time in a week to find that the UPS guys had left 2 big boxes in the booth, there was sticky shit all over the glass display case, my flashing light had been on for God knows how long, and that the sales quota has been raised from 35 to 40 (we think). Now, I don’t care about the other stuff, but the quota has been raised twice in as many months, from 30 to 35 after our great sales numbers in December (um, it was Christmas, everyone bought prepaids you asshats), and most likely now from 35 to 40. Looks like it’s time to freshen up my resume, since unless hell freezes over and they decide not to count January and February’s sales against us I’ll be out of a job come March or April. Asshats, all of them. We can easily make the samles in terms of new activations, but when you’re working a ghetto Walmart and dealing with illegal aliens with no SSN “credit challenged” people who can’t get approved for a monthly plan, thus they go onto prepaids and I get a lower commission on the activations ($6 vs. $35), and if I don’t make $580 in commissions, I get written up. For January, I took home $81 in commission after taxes. Yeah, I suck that bad.
