A Little About Me...

I'm just a 31 year old chick from Rhode Island, married to a Canadian, tattooed, childfree, and a World of Warcraft addict. I fancy myself a photographer, or an artist, but who am I kidding - I count pills and sell drugs to junkies.

Disclaimer

I write about everything. If you don't like it, if it's too personal, if you don't want to hear it, if it offends you, if it's about you, I don't care.

I'm selfish, impatient, and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control, and at times hard to handle, but if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.

quizzes and things

For once, it seemed as though the school day actually went by pretty quickly. the first half of class consisted of going over the medical terminology quiz we had yesterday, which I got a B- on. Not bad, considering that each question was worth 20 points. We went over more terminology and did our homework (consisting of just defining a dozen words), took our break. The second half of the class is ethics, and we went over another quiz from yesterday, which I scored a perfect score. The rest of the class was busy work, just some printouts on drug approval and FDA testing. There’s a couple of people in class that I don’t think will survive and graduate. The girl I sit next to can barely read and is the most likely candidate for quitting or failing; yesterday while we were reading things out loud, the teacher had to help her on about 3 or 4 words in 2 sentances. I’m not talking about big medical procedure names or medications, these were smaller words you’d know in early high school at the latest.

Brainmush

The day didn’t start on a good note, as I discovered that I’d left my map of the school at home. Then I discovered that maybe my mother probably had the right idea when she offered to buy me the backpack on wheels when I saw that most of the other students had them. However, they’re not pharmacy tech students, so I’m not sure if they have more books or what. I found one of the girls I was with yesterday and walked in with her, because she had a map. The first half of class is boring, it’s just medical terminology, which boils down to an assload of Latin and Greek and prefixes and suffixes. The second half was more interesting, being pharmacy ethics and law, and there was more interaction (although one girl did fall asleep). There’s only 12 of us in class, and 7 of them have already been taking various courses for the past month.

And now, I need to find some lunch and do my homework. I seriously pity Eddie who has to quiz my ass, because these are some annoying and bigass words.
