A Little About Me...

I'm just a 31 year old chick from Rhode Island, married to a Canadian, tattooed, childfree, and a World of Warcraft addict. I fancy myself a photographer, or an artist, but who am I kidding - I count pills and sell drugs to junkies.

Disclaimer

I write about everything. If you don't like it, if it's too personal, if you don't want to hear it, if it offends you, if it's about you, I don't care.

I'm selfish, impatient, and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control, and at times hard to handle, but if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.

Saturday Stuff

Today I go for phase 2 of my tattoo, getting a trio of roses between the swallows and banners to bring everything together as one piece. This is going to be very painful. Eddie will be getting some pictures, since he’s not getting anything done this time around. I’ll even let him hold my hand.

After the tattooing’s done, Eddie and I are going to a geeky WoW baby shower, which should be less painful considering that there’s not going to be any sort of silly shower games, except maybe loading up WoW and showing off our toons. I need to wrap up some of the assorted gifts I picked up for the mom-to-be.

Nanny isn’t doing so hot. While I won’t get into details, allow me to just say that whoever said that there’s dignity in dying was full of shit and probably never had to watch a loved one toddle around the house wearing a hospital gown and diaper and carrying their catheter bag in a pink gift bag strapped to their walker.

Eddie just tongue-kissed the ferret.

The weekend was nice and relaxing. Any weekend where we can stay in bed an extra hour or three and hang out in the living room playing WoW all afternoon is a good weekend in my book. We crawled out of bed at about 9am and drank coffee and played a bit of WoW, finally making it to level 37. I broke the 300 gold mark on my character, which makes me quite happy; I’m all set in 3 levels to buy my mount and then keep saving for gear, skills, and other assorted neccessities in the game. Like another pet slot so that I can tame a giraffe. I’m also in dire need of another bank slot because I’m a freaking pack rat with a bankful of things that I can’t use at all right now, but might be able to get use out of later. Another thing that I can’t wait to do is hit level 40 and do my crafting quest.

We went to the drive-in on Saturday night. We left the house and drove up to Cumberland to get big sandwiches, cash, and some snacks. We brought lawn chairs to sit in, but ended up just folding down the back seats of the truck and curling up in the back with pillows and a blanket. It was super comfy, which completely made up for the fact that Spiderman 3 bit the big one. It was way too long, drawn out, and I’m sorry, but I’d could have done without the wrestling with the personal demons thought the whole thing. None of the villains were very good, and the Gwen character was really, really pointless. And what Spiderman movie would be completely without Kirsten Dunst dangling from the air? They may as well just start titling the rest of the series Mary Jane vs. Gravity 4. The second half of the double feature was Ghostrider, which we left 45 minutes into because we’d seen it before, and it wasn’t much better on the big screen (we’d already seen a pirated copy on DVD).

Yesterday we went to Mom’s house. I had hot wings for lunch, read my book, and then picked up Eddie from work. We rented Deja Vu over there which was sooooo much better than everything else we’d seen over the weekend. Today we both worked, and we were both busy, so we’re eating sausage sandwiches for dinner and then going into the bedroom to watch TV for the rest of the night like the lazy slobs we are :)

Monday Crap

April FoolI took advantage of last Saturday to spend a little time updating the WoW guild’s website for April Fools Day with a pretty pink Hello Kitty layout. I must have sat there at my desk giggling for an hour while I did it.

We’re still carless. We’re using my mom’s beast Durango for now, and we’re hoping that either my dad can find something cheap and reliable or that he’s willing to help look at ones that we find elsewhere. Eddie’s looking at Craigslist right now.

Work was slow last week, but picked up a helluva lot today because it’s the beginning of the month and a Monday. Last week I displayed a prime example of my mouth running faster than my brain when a customer was joking about how we were going to empty his wallet when he picked up his meds. I rang up his 3 scripts and gave him the total of about $75, and he said something like, “Oh, I felt that coming….” to which I replied, “Sorry, maybe next time we’ll buy you dinner first.” Thankfully he’s a totally laid back guy and just laughed like it was the funniest thing he’d heard all week.

I’ve been having crazily fucked up dreams lately. Last weekend I had a dream that I went to my 10-year high school reunion, which was a weeklong party held in a frat house on the URI campus. Rather than having sit-down or buffet style dinners, the food reminded me a lot of the stuff we had in high school. To get to the party, we needed to take the ferry, and I rear-ended Chris Chester’s car on the dock. I was also incredibly confident and looked smokin’ hot in my cute little babydoll dress and heels, until I nearly fell down the stairs and knocked a beer out of a classmate’s (Brian Schneider, I think) hand.

Tomorrow I go into work late, and Eddie has the day off. I’m hoping for much snuggling and to finish a bit of crochet I started last week. WoW will be down for most of the day, so no playing that all day like we did on Saturday. It’s also Dad’s birthday, so I’ll be calling him at some point to rub in how old he’s getting.

Now that’s fucking cold.

We finally got some snow.

WoW CakeEddie went to our WoW guild leader’s house last night to help move some furniture into the basement, and while he was there he managed to get me the picture they took of my geeky birthday cake. I have the greatest bunch of guildies a girl could want.

Eddie and I have been enjoying the day so far. We snuggled in bed for a while, then got up and had bagels and coffee. Pickle came out and played a bit, and now she’s sound asleep in her cage. I don’t go into work until 4pm, so we’re spending the afternoon sending each other silly links and videos and listening to tunes. WoW’s down for it’s weekly Tuesday maintainance, so there will be no gaming for us this afternoon, unless the servers come up early. Tomorrow I’ve got the entire day off, so I’ll be spending the day playing with one of my lowbie alts and I told Eddie that we could do some fun stuff when he gets out of work.

Our new tech at work is doing pretty well. Unfortunately, he’s only at our store twice a week, and from what I’ve heard the other store he’s at needs him a helluva lot more than we do, and we’re predicting that they steal him from us any day now. I’m rather disgusted that he hasn’t had to experience any of our freaks yet. I’m also experiencing conflicting feelings of both sadness and glee that one of our junkies has switched pharmacies. I’m sad that I won’t get to listen to her call us and make up some sort of fucked up excuse for why she needs yet another early refill, and yet I’m happy for the very same reasons. I’m also hella amused that her boyfriend came in and said “she’s got a new pharmacist now, so y’all won’t need to deal with her, and she doesn’t know it yet but soon I won’t be dealing with her either.”

I may or may not get up in a little while for a 3rd cup of coffee. However, I’m not sure how well 3 cups of coffee and a bunch of dino-shaped chicken nuggets will sit for the rest of the night.

Anyone want to give me some suggestions for some new music to download? I’ve got a hard drive to stuff.
