A Little About Me...

I'm just a 31 year old chick from Rhode Island, married to a Canadian, tattooed, childfree, and a World of Warcraft addict. I fancy myself a photographer, or an artist, but who am I kidding - I count pills and sell drugs to junkies.

Disclaimer

I write about everything. If you don't like it, if it's too personal, if you don't want to hear it, if it offends you, if it's about you, I don't care.

I'm selfish, impatient, and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control, and at times hard to handle, but if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.

Last day of school!

No more teachers, no more book!

We’ll see how I feel about this as the day gets closer, but for now (since this was originally posted at the end of January) I’ll be happy to get out.

I got gravy on my tits, and it’s not love-gravy either!

I have 4 days of class left before they force me out into the real world like a baby bird unceremoniously tossed from the nest. I spoke with the coordinator for the pharmacy this afternoon, and made arrangements to meet up with her on Wednesday afternoon to fill out some paperwork for my RI state tech license, which I get screwed with because it expires in June and I’ll need to renew it then, and won’t have my my national certification until around August. However, if we move into the apartment complex that I’m looking into, it will be extremely convenient just to stay at that store because it’s literally a 2 minute drive from the place. I was also told that it’s not an extremely busy store, but that it does have a bit of everything that I can train on, which is good.

Eddie needs to go into work for 5am tomorrow, so I think I’m going to kick back here at home for the day and crochet until my hands fall off so that I can get as many of those little critters done as possible before my last day of class Wednesday.

I stopped at the craft store this afternoon to pick up some plastic animal eyes, and was sorely disappointed to only find brown. However, they were having a HUGE sale, and so I snagged a couple of balls of girlish yarn and the most adorable Hello Kitty bag for around $20 total. Nanny called to let me know that Job Lot is selling Fun Fur yarn at 6/$10, so she wanted to know if I wanted any. Pickle stole a quarter out of my pocket. Eddie made us a fantabulous dinner of chicken, gravy, and egg noodles, and in 20 minutes Survivor is on. Woot!

Almost done.

I’ve got a final tomorrow. I’m not worried about it. We discovered today that there’s really only 10 more days of class left for me. Holy shit things went by fast, eh? After that I have a couple of days off and then I start my externship, which has me scared shitless.

My teacher’s daughter loved her llamma. One of my classmates has commissioned me to make a small llamma and a lamb for her kids for Easter, so I’ll be doing that this weekend and next week. The good thing? I don’t need to buy much yarn (just something for the lamb’s fleece), so it’s almost all profit this time around.

School and stuffs

I got another perfect score on my test. We didn’t do all that much in class because our teacher had a migraine that was threatening to make her puke if she stood up, so we just worked on more fake prescriptions and databases.

At one point this morning we were looking up pictures, because the other Crystal wanted to show someone what I dubbed the potato baby, and we ended up showing J (teacher) the picture. After we discuss the fact that it’s actually called an acardiac twin, she’s sitting up front and asks “Why are you looking up twins, Crystal? Got an announcement for us? A happy announcement, perhaps?”

“It’d be a happy announcement if I could come in and announce I’d gotten my tubes tied,” I replied. A few laughs. Everyone seems to know better than to give me the “you’ll change your mind” speech.

I picked up some red and off-white yarn today for another project of mine. I won’t get into details but suffice to say it will be quite geeky and take a bit longer for me to do simply because I have no pattern at all. I need to finish my kittens for Gina over the weekend, and my monkeys should be done by tomorrow, since I think most of tonight might be spent on the couch watching TV and eating pizza. We’re also planning on hopping into the shower and there’s a distinct possibility of getting biz-ZAY at some point tonight (w00t!).

Happy Humpday!

Hmm… a Harry Potter Humpday card… um… yeah, happy early V-Day!

I think that today’s class just might go down in history as one of the worst. most boring days of class I’ve ever had the displeasure of sitting through. Even the fact that Matt was sitting two seats away from me looking at Vivid girls for a desktop wallpaper did nothing to lighten the mood in the place. Tomorrow I think we’ve got a test on the basic info and differences between inpatient and outpatient patient databases. As much as I hate tests after only 2 days of class, anything aside from sitting in my desk for 2h 30m surfing the bare bones of the net is good in my eyes.

Eddie and I played a bit of FFXI tonight. I’m trying to get refamiliarize myself with the controls and haven’t been doing any hardcore grinding yet, and both of us are just playing with lower level jobs for the time being. And while it’s not officially announced yet, it appears as though the next expansion pack will have pirates corsairs, which looks terribly cool and makes me want to preorder it for the sake of being able to say I’m a Ninja/Pirate.

Right now, I think it’s a good time for a shower. It’s still early enough that my hair will dry a bit before bed, meaning I should be required to wet it in the morning to force it back into something normal.
