It’s Done!
Eddie’s anniversary presents have been purchased. Hopefully they end up getting here sometime next week, and hopefully he’ll like them.
I'm just a 31 year old chick from Rhode Island, married to a Canadian, tattooed, childfree, and a World of Warcraft addict. I fancy myself a photographer, or an artist, but who am I kidding - I count pills and sell drugs to junkies.
I write about everything. If you don't like it, if it's too personal, if you don't want to hear it, if it offends you, if it's about you, I don't care.
I'm selfish, impatient, and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control, and at times hard to handle, but if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.

it looks like I’m going to get my hair cut tomorrow afternoon. Eddie mentioned that my mom and Nanny are going to get their’s done, so I called Mom to find out if she thought they could squeeze me in there or if I should just hold off and go to Fantastic Sam’s on Tuesday when I’ve got the day off. I’d post pictures of the styles in the running, but Eddie doesn’t think the scanner will work properly, so we’ll just let everyone be surprised when I get home tomorrow night. I definitely need some shorter bangs, since the last 4″ or so of mine are so fried that they’re literally mushy when wet.
Today marks the 4-year anniversary of the first night I spent in this house after signing my lease. Technically I moved in on the 3rd, but didn’t spend the night until the 4th due to my lack of buying toilet paper. I then had a slew of issues with shit, such as the discovery that someone was fucking with my cable, spending about 3 weeks without heat/hotwater/cooking gas because the gas company is run by a bunch of monkeys, and having some guy get murdered about a 30 second walk away from my driveway. However, even though there’s a lot of quirkiness in this house (obscenely ugly wallpaper, gun-hoarding landlord), we couldn’t ask for a better landlord, who charges us about $300 less than the regular going rate for this area and hasn’t raised the rent in the 4 years I’ve been here.
I took Eddie out to dinner at Bugaboo Creek last night. It was hella yummy. We each had big fruity margaritas, which were yummier towards the bottom because that’s where all the fruit was. We were seated next to what could be considered the worst family ever. It was a birthday party with about 10 people, 3 adults trying to manage 7 kids who were running everywhere. One kid had a yoyo that he couldn’t use, but he knew yo were supposed to throw it, and throw it he did. And swing it. And twirl it. Several times he nearly hit waitstaff because he wasn’t looking where he was throwing it. At no time did anyone tell him that swinging/throwing a yoyo around the main aisle wasn’t the best idea.
Eddie brought home a tiny litterbox for Pickle last night. I cut down on side and she proceeded to move it around the cage until it was in a good spot and proceeded to sleep in it, complete with poop. On the way to dinner we stopped and picked up some Care Fresh bedding and just put that over the bottom of the cage, which of course she just moves around snuggles up in. Once I wake up a bit more I’ll take some out and replace it with some old shirts and hopefully get her pooing in one spot, preferably not where she’s sleeping.
We’re going to mom’s for dinner tonight so I can take her truck for tomorrow and get Tuffy groomed. I think Eddie took the goth monkey to work today to show off. tomorrow I’m going to see if I can find some red and white socks because I’ve got an idea for another one, and some green and white ones for one of Eddie’s coworkers who wants one in an step dancer’s dress. (update: picked up 5 pairs in various stripes colors, including red/white and green/white for $11. Nice.)
At this time 3 years ago, we were waking up and gathering all of the stuff we needed to get married. We showered, I grabbed every bit of makeup I owned, and we made our way to Eddie’s parents’ campground to drop him off before I drove down to Mom’s to get all dolled up in my princess dress.
From there it was off to Roger Williams Park in Providence, to the Temple to Music, for a wedding that was as unique as we are. Custom vows, a kiss, and suddenly our family size had doubled.
And I don’t think anyone could as for a better husband. He loves me unconditionally, with all my issues and flaws that he insists I don’t have. And I love him with all my heart, even though he claims his farts smell like roses.
Tomorrow is our 3 year anniversary. I’ve already gotten my present, but unfortunately I won’t be able to get one for Eddie until Friday when I have a vehicle. I’m bringing Tuffy to get groomed that day because he hasn’t been clipped since around my birthday and he looks like a mini sheepdog right now. We’ll probably be going over there for dinner on either Thursday or Friday. I have no idea what to get him because when I’ve asked he just tells me “I’ll like whatever you get me.” Yesterday Eddie sent out his paperwork for immigration, and with any luck we’ll get his greencard extended and get the 10-year card this time around.
It’s actually not too bad out today. Kinda cloudy, which is keeping the temperature down, so the humidity we do have isn’t as oppressive as it could be out there. We’re supposed to get some thunderstorms this afternoon.
Pickle is sound asleep in her litter box again. I rearranged her hammocks a bit and added the tube we had in Skittles’s cage, so now she’s got 3 levels of hammocks to climb around in and sleep in. I cleaned out her piles of poop last night and put down a puppy pad, but it looks like she just moved it away and crapped right on the plastic again. After lunch I’ll clean it out and put some newspaper down and maybe she won’t move that as easily, otherwise I’m just going to get some critter bedding for her to crap on, because smearing shit all over her cage floor isn’t my idea of a good time.
