While some people are content to just change how Kiwi displays things, others want a bit more of a customized look, and so I decided to make a few themes that will let you set yourself away from the rest of the pack.
Installation
- Backup your original style.css files and your kiwi/images/ directory.
- Upload the new files to the appropriate spots in the themes/kiwi directory.
No other changes should need to be made as I have not modified the structure of the theme, only the color scheme.
Millions of peaches, peaches for free….
Reminiscent of a ripe peach, this style has all the shades you’d find on this juicey fruit: peach, red, and tan. I made this one at the suggestion of some folks on the Kiwi forums who wanted something with less white and less of a frame around the metaipic/header graphic. There are no embedded CSS images used, making it great for those of you looking to keep your bandwidth costs down and would prefer to keep things loading quickly. All the goodness of the fruit without the pit or the fuzz!
Basic Stats:
- Background: Dark Peach
- First Post/Meta Frame: Light Peach/Tan
- Links/Title/Footer: Deep red
Digital-Ed’s Blue
Whipped up for the wonderfully adorable Digital-Ed, this style features some blues, some black, and the original white framing for the metapic. It’s a bit darker than the standard kiwi theme and the Blueberry theme, so it’s definitely not for everyone.
