[ host ] I’ve been hosted with Hostito since the beginning of 2005. I’ve got nothing to complain about; their service has been awesome so far.
[ domain name ] For 5 years I used the domain chicky.net, from 2000-2005. This was good when I was running a webcam and the members area and the “adult content” that got me tossed off other hosting sites. I’ve been “chicky” since before I even registered the domain - it was a highschool nickname. But I’m really not that person anymore. I don’t do the adult stuff on my cams any longer, and haven’t done for a few years now. In early 2005 I decided I needed a change and I thought long and hard about what I wanted to use as a new one and picked out saidshe.net (from the e e cummings poem may i feel said he).
[ blog ] In the beginning…. there was no blog, only cams. Earliest forms of my site used Blogger, but quickly switched to an embedded Livejournal. Because Livejournal was doing nothing more than sucking, I made the switch to Greymatter in January of 2002, which I adored. However, once I hit over 100 entries, GM started to not run properly, so I converted everything to Moveabletype. Eventually, MT started to go downhill when I had a lot of traffic and entries, so I switched to pMachine for its PHP and SQL backend, but found that there were very few people willing to share hacks. Most recently I discovered WordPress, which offers me the community of helpful people and plugins/hacks that MT had, with the speed of pM.
[ design ] All designs on chicky.net are done by me using little more than UltraEdit and many, many Google searches for help on code. Images scavenged off the net, and what little modifications I do to them are done in Photoshop 6.0.
[ cams ] As of 2/20/05, there are 2 cams on this site.

Cam streams are done by WebcamXP. Captions are pretty random, and not changed very frequently.
[ domain ] domain has been registered with Dotster for about 5 years now.
[ art ] All 3d artwork on this site is done by me, copyright 2000-2005. Don’t steal it. Rendering done in Poser 4. Earlier renderings done in Bryce. Sketches done with a No. 2 pencil. Photography done with a Sony Cybershot.
