A Little About Me...

I'm just a 31 year old chick from Rhode Island, married to a Canadian, tattooed, childfree, and a World of Warcraft addict. I fancy myself a photographer, or an artist, but who am I kidding - I count pills and sell drugs to junkies.

Disclaimer

I write about everything. If you don't like it, if it's too personal, if you don't want to hear it, if it offends you, if it's about you, I don't care.

I'm selfish, impatient, and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control, and at times hard to handle, but if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.

Reason we’re perfect for each other #38473

File this under true love and totally TMI - you have been warned *evil grin*

So being that it’s day 21 and all of my cycle, it’s time to take out The Ring. I make Eddie leave the bathroom area (our bathroom door doesn’t close all the way and some things, such as a chick fishing around in her nethers trying to get a grip on a stubborn jelly-bracelet jammed up there, are things that a husband just doesn’t need to see), wrestle it out, toss it in the trashbin and wipe the… um… gunk off my fingers.

“I’m done,” I yell so he knows he can come out of hiding. Out comes Eddie and we share one of those disgustingly lovey-dovey hugs in the kitchen before I wave my hand in his face and ask, “Wanna smell my fingers?”

“Do they smell like chocolate chips?” he asks, laughing and ducking away.

“Yes!” Eddie’s still laughing, and trying to dodge my hand. But because he’s laughing, I just jam my fingers in his mouth and laugh at his pain and run into the other room.

“That’s it!” yells Eddie, “Somene’s getting stinkpalmed!”

And then we went to Stop & Shop to get some chicken for dinner. Easy yummy recipe of the moment:

Ingredients: couple of chicken breasts, flour, can of cream of mushroom soup, and some instant stuffing, spice how you like

Directions:
Cover chicken in flour and spices and brown in whatever way floats your boat (we just brown it in butter in a frying pan). Put in the bottom of a crock pot. Cover with cream of mushroom soup. Prepare stuffing according to directions, using half the water it calls for, and put in crock pot over soup. Cook on high for about 4 hours.

Yummy!

Happy Chocolate Bunny Day!

Started off the day with several extended coughing fits. Eddie, always worrying about me, turned around to ask if I was ok just in time to see my shoot a spectacular wad of phlegm through my clenched fist (I was covering my mouth while coughing, as usual). I took several medications, which caused a bit of a dizzy, carsick feeling when I stook up to fast when we were getting ready to leave, and then we headed out to Mom’s house.

At Mom’s I made a frozen chocolate pie. It was perhaps one of the easiest things I’ve ever made.

Ingrediants:

  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 package instant chocolate pudding
  • 1 pint chocolate ice cream
  • 1 pie crust (we used a chocolate graham cracker crust)
Mix pudding and milk in a bowl. Add ice cream and milk with electric beater on lowest setting. Spread into crust and stick in the freezer until ready to serve.
It turned out really really yummy. We ate the typical ham and potatos and stuff, and discussed selling Eddie’s toenail on ebay as the “Holy Toenail”, claiming that the Virgin Mary is in it. I didn’t take any pictures this year. I did get a plastic egg full of chocolates and a stuffed lamb, which is now sitting on my desk and has been named “Lambikins” because it was the first thing that I thought of when Eddie asked what I was going to name it (I’m a dork who names all her plushies)

We ordered a pizza for dinner, which should be getting here soon. We’re getting hungry.

I’ll probably end up going to the doctor’s this week. I’ll have to charge my phone so that I can make an appointment with the good doctor and switch my insurance so they don’t give me a hassle about who my primary physician is.

Another one bites the dust….

The “Captain’s Cream Soda” was good. This one, “Pirate’s Tea”, is even better.
Ingredients:

1 1/2 - 2 oz Spiced rum
Coca-Cola
Orange juice

Mixing instructions:
In mason jar filled with ice, add spiced rum. Add coca-cola to the ridge of jar. Fill with orange juice. Garnish with lemon wedge and serve.

Slightly fizzy, not to sweet, definitely a very tasty drink. I substituded a regular class for the mason jar. Very yummy!

The party has begun….

After spending an hour on www.webtender.com looking for recipes, I’ve started my evening off with a lovely drink called “Captain’s Cream Soda.” It’s pretty good. Not really sweet, but not really strong either.

Ingredients:
1 oz Spiced rum (Captain Morgan’s)
4 oz 7-Up

Mixing instructions:
Pour the Captain Morgan over plenty of ice in a highball glass. Top with the seven-up, stir and enjoy!

I might just have another one in a little while. We’ll see.

Help?

Does anyone know a good wine to go with pork roast?
