A Little About Me...

I'm just a 31 year old chick from Rhode Island, married to a Canadian, tattooed, childfree, and a World of Warcraft addict. I fancy myself a photographer, or an artist, but who am I kidding - I count pills and sell drugs to junkies.

Disclaimer

I write about everything. If you don't like it, if it's too personal, if you don't want to hear it, if it offends you, if it's about you, I don't care.

I'm selfish, impatient, and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control, and at times hard to handle, but if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.

Archive: externship

No subject, because I don’t want one.

The externship coordinator stopped by the store today to chat with me and the lead tech about how I was liking things and how I was doing. After tomorrow I have exactly 2 weeks left, and then I’ll be unceremoniously tossed back into the workforce. There was also some discussion regarding potential to be hired after the externship, but I took a phone call and didn’t hear what was being said. Today I spent most of the day at the bench filling scripts, which was fun. I also got a lesson in processing refills, which was pretty helpful. I’m slowly getting the hang of things. Next week I think I’m dealing with more of the computer end of things.

Eddie has decided that tomorrow we’ll go out for dinner and a movie. This means I need to find something cute to wear and do my makeup and stuff. I don’t know what we’re going to go see yet, or what we’re going to have for dinner. He’s working on Saturday afternoon, and Sunday is Easter so we’ll be at Mom’s. I think next weekend we’ll be checking out the Lippizzaners since Nanny bought tickets for the bunch of us.

Mondays Suck

The last few days are a blur. This is strange,s ince we really didn’t do anything.

Saturday we stayed home and played FFXI. I worked on my skirt, which turned out great but just needs to be modified slightly. Unfortunately, while trying to remove a pin I came very close to actually sewing my thumb to my skirt after impaling myself with the machine’s needle. Eddie and I had a couple of missions to finish up in the game, and so we gathered up a party of 6 and managed to kick the shit out of everything. We then got a tour of a newly accessable area, explored a bit, finished another short quest for maps of the new areas, and logged off for the night. I messed around with some screenshots, chatted a bit, and we headed into the bedroom just in time to see Antonio Banderas claim to be a woman named Guadalupe on SNL.

Yesterday we went to my mother’s, where we had chicken wings, watched a few hours worth of Mythbusters repeats, and watched the last hour or so of Nascar. We had dinner and chatted with Danielle and talked about going to see the Lipizzaner stallions in a couple of weeks. I was exhausted for some reason, so when we got home I surfed the web a bit, and then we watched Crossing Jordan. Last night one of the neighbors decided that 11pm was the best time to play their Spanish music, and so I fell asleep trying to ignore the terrible beat. Then I woke up at least twice because I was having nightmares that Eddie left me.

Today Eddie didn’t need to be in until 8am, so we slept in an extra hour. I didn’t need to be in until 10am, so I bought a book and sat in the car for a bit until it was time for me to go in. Today was better than it has been. While I was working up front on the register for half the day, once the other newbies came in I got to go in the back and actually fill some scripts for a couple of hours before taking over the drive through again because it got busy. My feet barely hurt during the day, although right now my entire lower body aches. We stopped on the way home and got hot weiners for dinner because Eddie was craving them.

Utterly Satisfactory

I’m so tired. While I worked only 30 hours I’m completely drained. I went to East Providence for some training today, and finished up about an hour early. I was supposed to go to the store to get my evaluation done after training, however I was on the schedule as being at training until 1pm, and I knew shit would fly if I showed up at 12:30pm, so I sat in the car and read the last 70 pages or so of The Davinci Code before heading inside. Eventually I got the eval done, and I’m now listed as mostly “satisfactory” with a few “proficient” ratings and a bunch of “not satisfactory” things, with a note explaining that the “not satisfactory” things are things that I haven’t had the chance to do yet. The pharm doing the review for me also said that they haven’t been putting me at production as much as they should be, and admitted that they’ve left me at the register for longer than they probably should have, but that’s because they’re short-handed and even though they’ve got a bunch of techs, half of us aren’t trained and it’s more efficient to have us work the register than slow everyone down in the back.

I finished my jean skirt the other day, fully aware that it’s about 2 sizes too small for me. However, I made a shorter one out of a pair of too-big pink cords, and tonight I slit the seams in my $40 Lane Bryant jeans that I bought right before school started because they’re way too big on me and even a belt wouldn’t keep them looking nice, since I’d still look like my ass is swimming in them. At least if I turn them into a skirt , I can wear a belt and it will look better than having saggy-ass jeans.

I think tonight might be an early to bed kind of night. I’m tired and achey, and I think I just want to curl up in bed with Eddie and let him rub lotion into my feet, get naked, and snuggle with him.

I *heart* Fridays.

I leave in a couple of minutes for my last training day for the store. I get out at around 1, and then drive back to the store to chat with one of the pharmacists about my review. I mentioned that I needed to get it done and one of the two good pharms volunteered to do it last night, but didn’t want to send it in without letting me look at it first. It works out anyway, since I’ve got to fax over my hours to school today anyway, so the review can go in at the same time.

We got our tax return today. I’m putting all but $100 in the savings account to use towards the deposit on a new place. I will continuously repeat to myself, “It will not be used to buy the new FFXI expansion pack.”

*sigh*

Back to work.

3 weeks left.
