A Little About Me...

I'm just a 31 year old chick from Rhode Island, married to a Canadian, tattooed, childfree, and a World of Warcraft addict. I fancy myself a photographer, or an artist, but who am I kidding - I count pills and sell drugs to junkies.

Disclaimer

I write about everything. If you don't like it, if it's too personal, if you don't want to hear it, if it offends you, if it's about you, I don't care.

I'm selfish, impatient, and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control, and at times hard to handle, but if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.

Hearthstones
A couple of hearthstones I made over the last week.

Oh Friday, how I needed you.

The other night Eddie had a dream about zombies. I think it’s contagious, because the following night I had a zombie dream. Fortunately my dream was far less serious, and the zombies were quickly dispatched by Reba McEntire driving a rusted out pickup truck.

I made some more little clay earrings, as well as a necklace. Eventually I’ll get around to finishing them all and polishing them, then take some pictures to post. They’re pretty cute, I even made Eddie a hearthstone pendant. He came home with a big pack of assorted colors for me to play with, and I’ve had fun all this week, with the exception of the night that I burnt them all in the over because I can’t read the temperature dial properly.

Work was insane this week. It started off normal, then Supertech called out sick on Wednesday and Thursday, and then the new tech called out tonight, and all hell was breaking loose. Add to that me oversleeping a bit and leaving my glasses at home. It wasn’t pretty when I left the store tonight, but the order was put away and there was no one left waiting in line. Plus, I didn’t have to wait on one of my least favorite regulars, a bitchy woman who speaks pretty much no English and never stops her son from screaming his head off as though he’s being devoured be demons in the toy aisle.

Tomorrow my mother and I get to go get our hair cut. This should be fun, since I really don’t know exactly what I want, and the picture that I’ve got showing something that I like is a bit on the smallish side. But I need a cut badly, and a trip to Riverside will get me out of the house for the afternoon.

My birthday is next Tuesday; I’m going to be 31. I’ve got to come up with a list of things that I’d like, since Eddie has no idea what to buy me. Honestly, I’ve got no clue what I want; I’d be happy with some little toys and maybe a new external drive to replace the one that died during the move. Oh, and some pink earbuds for the iPod. And a Talbuk for my WoW character.

Yum!

Cupcakes
Ed’s parent’s sent me a check for my birthday. I spent half of it on Fimo, and have been making tiny food since the weekend.

Fun with the OrganI currently have a paperclip stuck through my right ear because I was super bored at one point at work today and found myself staring at the clip and thinking “I could use that as an earring.” I started my new schedule at work this week, a sort of modified day shift. All but 2 days this week will have me home by 6:30pm, which is hella cool. I may pick up an odd Sunday here and there until the new tech is fully trained, but to be completely honest there’s not much of a need to have a tech in on Sundays.

We pulled some interesting things out of my grandmother’s apartment this weekend, such as several ancient books of sheet music that belonged to my great-grandmother, including the wonderfully perverted title of “Fun with the Organ”. Mom found a pair of racey undies, and another couple of bags of crafts, this time needlepoint for the most part. Most of the crafty things weren’t even started, or only barely started, but there was a needlepoint stool cushion that she had finished in 1989 that was never actually blocked and put on a stool. There was also a partially done needlepoint canvas that none of us remember seeing her working on. In addition to the sheetmusic I also took my grandfather’s copy of “The Bluejacket’s Handbook” and a scarf. It was really disturbing to be down there and have almost of of her belongings piled on top of her bed; it’s depressing to think that all that remains can fit on the top of a full sized mattress.

I’ve got a few crafty projects going on right now. There’s the crochet stuff, there’s a book that I’ve gouged up and its pair of papier mache drawers (god I love doing papier mache), and I’ve got a pack of stuffed bears to make. I’ll be sure to post some pics when I get them done.
