video music awards
Eminem is cute. He looked totally shocked when he won every award he was nominated for, with the exception of the viewers’ choice award.
Fred Durst is cuter than Eminem, and his duet with Christina Agulera (I know I probably spelled it wrong) was really unexpected.
Lars Ulrich got himself booed. The guy who created Napster came out on stage wearing *gasp* a Metallica shirt (his friend “shared” it with him, but he’s thinking of buying his own) and got lotsa cheers.
Blink 182 finished the show with an ass load of midgets. The lead singer from Rage Against the Machine attempted to take down the stage props; Moby stuck a Gore/Leiberman sticker on the podium before showing the nominees for the category, and it mysteriously disappeared when they cut back to the presenters.
Chili Peppers got the Video Vanguard Award, and it was Flea’s daughter Clara’s first day at school. Mercifully, we weren’t subjected to any totally sucky performances, with possibly the exception of the Britney Spears medley, which included her heinous interpretation of the Stones’”Satisfaction”, which was, and is bad enough to make your ears bleed.
Li’l Kim wore more clothing this year than last year. N*Sync were actually pretty good, and their little dances-with-tv’s performance was really neat.
My toilet doesn’t work right.
