A Little About Me...

I'm just a 31 year old chick from Rhode Island, married to a Canadian, tattooed, childfree, and a World of Warcraft addict. I fancy myself a photographer, or an artist, but who am I kidding - I count pills and sell drugs to junkies.

Disclaimer

I write about everything. If you don't like it, if it's too personal, if you don't want to hear it, if it offends you, if it's about you, I don't care.

I'm selfish, impatient, and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control, and at times hard to handle, but if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.

I like firetrucks.

Eddie and I have a routine on Saturdays. We get up, check emails and blogs and play online a bit, shower together, then go to Newbury Comics and out to lunch. Today was no different, and around 12:30pm we were leaving Newbury and debating about where to go for lunch, finally deciding to hit the TGI Friday’s that’s in the same plaza. We get seated, order our food, and about a minute after our appetizer gets brought out to us the fire alarm goes off. Naturally, we’re sitting right next to one of the alarms. Everyone’s going from table to table explaining that it’s just a false alarm and that they’re trying to get it shut off, and to try to minimize the noise our waiter has us move to another table that’s not quite as close to the blaring noisebox. The new seat still gave us a decent view of the 3 firetrucks and the fire chief when they showed up and stormed the restaurant, axes drawn and hats firmly in place.

Then the waitstaff comes around and tells everyone they need to leave because the fire department wants to check everything out before turning everything off, and we all leave our food and head out to the parking lot where we hang out while yet another fire truck shows up and more guys jump out and head inside. Finally the alarm gets shut off and everyone goes back to eat their food. Eddie and I move back to our original table and our waiter comes back and tells us that our food is getting made and offers to grab us more drinks. While he’s away I see about 6 waitstaff come out of the back looking completely fed up, followed by some loud complaining from the depths of the the kitchen. Our waiter comes back, sans beverages, and explains that per order of the fire department the place is to be closed until 1:30pm to make sure that there are absolutely no fires or something, so our loaded potato skins and drinks are on the house and there’s no sense sitting around for 30 minutes before they can even open the kitchen up again. We got a gift certificate for a free appetizer the next time, and headed down the road to Chilis to get some lunch there. And that was our excitement for the day.

We did a bunch of pvp today in WoW, and are now taking a break for dinner and some episodes of Lost before SNL comes on tonight. Christopher Walken is hosting, which pretty much guarantees a good show.
