Said She

The net went down on Saturday morning, around an hour or so before Eddie got back from work. We drove to Mom’s house, where the women took off for a couple of hours to get our hair cut and the men slept or did laundry at home. At the salon I started working on a lion for my classmate Dawn’s bunch of animals, and got most of it done by the end of the night.

Sunday Eddie and I snuggled on the loveseat the entire day and watched nothing but the Travel Channel and TBS and napped. It was good.

Monday through Wednesday was pretty typical. I went to school and Eddie went to work. We finished up with what we had in this last course on Monday, and spent Tuesday watching a movie and setting up the empty drug bottles that were given to us on some shelves. Wednesday was the last day of class and we were only there for as long as it took us to finish the final exam, and I was home by 9:30am. My teacher gave those of us who were leaving a giant bar of Cadbury chocolate, which is just so rich and awesome. I’ve got today and tomorrow off, and then with any luck I start my externship on Monday morning - I’m still waiting for the pharmacist at my assigned store to call back about things like scheduling and what not. I was also told that my assigned store also lost 3 techs recently, so they’re desperate for help and I’m pretty much guaranteed a position after my 6 weeks are up. However, I’m extremely stressing right now, so I’m wearing a hat in the house because my trich is flaring up like crazy, and I don’t exactly want to have to explain my mysteriously appearing baldspots over the course of the externship.

Eddie announced on Monday that he’s transferring to the Photo Lab to be manager over there starting next Monday. It’s quite a change, going from managing something like 15 aisles to about 2, but I think he’ll be happier over there. Unfortunately, it doesn’t come with a pay raise, but we’ll do for now.

Today I got the net turned back on. I took some pictures of the latest animals that I’ve managed to make, and uploaded them here and there. I updated my FFXI blog to let my 5 readers know that I didn’t quit blogging. I rescued Pickle from her spot on the wrong side of Eddie’s gate. Eddie says I should put some funky chunky blonde streaks in my hair, so that might be getting done tonight or tomorrow, depending on when the pharmacist calls me back and wants to see me.

I think I’m going to shower and find some lunch. I’m starving.
