This weekend has been busy. We got to Mom’s house at around 10am and set about doing stuff that needed to get done downstairs. It is with great pleasure that I can say that the following things are done:

• The kitchen cabinets have knobs that are screwed on and work.
• The bedroom trim has been painted, as well as the closet doors.
• The bedroom is actually completely set up and ready for us to move in, complete with made bed and mini sitting area
• The living room is cleaned out and set up for the most part. We’ll need to move the couch that is in there when we put our couch and tv in, since where it is right now will block the way a little.
• We’ve sorted through stuff at home and decided what stays with us and what goes to Freecycle.
• The Uhaul truck has been booked for next Sunday morning

Last night we went and saw not one but two movies, catching an early showing of Hellboy 2, leave one theater and walk to the one next to is and saw Journey to the Center of the Earth, which was in 3d. I’m pleased to say that I only acted like a moron once during Journey when something flew at the screen, and I’m happy that they didn’t make it too much like an amusement park ride like they could have (and do) with 3d flicks. Both movies were good for their own reasons, although I thought Hellboy 2 was the better of the two we went to. Plus, I totally adored Selma Blair’s haircut in Hellboy 2, to the point where I’m considering trying it out.

This afternoon we’re going to Mom’s for dinner and possibly another movie. This is really the last weekend where I’ll be posting that, and it’s a little strange to think about. However, it amuses me to no end to think that after this week Eddie and I will be the stereotypical gaming nerds living in Mom’s basement. I’m just waiting for Eddie to come get me and then we’re off!
