A Little About Me...

I'm just a 31 year old chick from Rhode Island, married to a Canadian, tattooed, childfree, and a World of Warcraft addict. I fancy myself a photographer, or an artist, but who am I kidding - I count pills and sell drugs to junkies.

Disclaimer

I write about everything. If you don't like it, if it's too personal, if you don't want to hear it, if it offends you, if it's about you, I don't care.

I'm selfish, impatient, and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control, and at times hard to handle, but if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.

Things to post, places to go

Eddie and I are going to take advantage of the nice weather this week and going to the drive-in tomorrow night to catch a showing of Spiderman 3. The 2nd half of the double feature is Ghostrider, which we’ve already seen, so who knows if we’ll sit through it or leave after the first movie. I think it depends on the weather and how chilly it gets after dark. They’ve raised the prices at the drive-in this year, from $17 to $20, but I’ll gladly eat that $3 to be able to see a movie without having to deal with some families that drag 3 little kids and a crying baby to a late night showing of a new movie. It bites having to get there early in order to get a decent spot, but I’ll bring some yarn to crochet something or my book to read and we’ll be just fine. We’re going to bring our chairs and some good snacks and drinks to keep ourselves fed and avoid the costs of concession stand food.

Poor Nanny is starting to feel the effects of the chemo. She’s on a bit of an emotional rollercoaster from what I’ve heard, crying at the drop of a hat, and has been hit with the notorious chemo-induced nausea. She’s got no appetite. Add to the mix a nasty ongoing headache that she’s had in varying severities since before her diagnoses and you’ve got one miserable grandmother. Mom’s coworkers were talking about how Nanny should either talk to her doctor about prescribing her some Marinol or just buy her some pot (buying the pot is probably cheaper and easier, in my opinion).

Work has been incredibly slow this week. I’m not sure if it’s the fact that it’s been sunny and warm out that’s keeping folks out of the pharmacy, or if they all showed up after I skipped out on Sunday afternoon, but last night I got out an hour early, Angela took off about 2 hours earlier, and we were standing around doing nothing for the majority of the time we were there. It’s the beginning of the month; I find it very hard to believe that the hoardes of elderly don’t need their heart meds.
