Enjoying a day off
Eddie and I spent yesterday in bed, snuggling until the time came to get up, shower, and find lunch, which came in the form of unlimited soup, salad, and breadsticks at the Olive Garden. We feasted on our lunches and then headed to the Home Depot in the shopping plaza to look for a new shower head, since our current one had decided to die at the ripe old age of 6. After walking around the store and realizing that we were never going to find anything that fit our needs, aside from a $750 multi-head gizmo, we went to the K-Mart nextdoor and bought one for $19 over there. It’s delightful. I can’t believe I managed to last 6 years with the one that I had; this one has something like 5 settings ranging from “hydro-ring of flesh removal” to “you call that a massage?”
Work was dead. Very dead. I made origami things to kill time for a while between patients, and then I drew pictures of bears in Batman costumes. Eddie came and picked me up at work and we headed to grab some dinner, then came home and watched Miami Ink. I’m not sure if it was the soda at dinner or the sex after tv, but I had a bit of trouble getting to sleep, eventually getting some rest way off to my side of the bed. Eddie woke me up at some point during the night to get me to move closer to him so that he could curl up behind me, and we slept like that for the rest of the night.
My back isn’t as stiff as it was the last two days, much to my happiness. I woke up and read some more of my book, then did a quick redesign of my page because I felt like I needed a change. I’m actually wearing clothes today. My plans for the rest of the day involve my sewing machine, so I’ll be sure to post pictures of whatever I come up with.
