Photos and Work and Stuff
I left work early today; it was just completely dead in there. The RPh was just sitting with his feet up on the back counter, reading the paper. I actually did some busy work for about 45 minutes before I took off, just to be able to make it look like I was making an effort to actually do shit while there. In 2 weeks I take my national certification exam. Sometime next week I’ll be going up to Lincoln to review some stuff with my teacher, so I’ve got a clue about what I need to be studying on my own.
I went to Roger Williams Park yesterday morning to take some pictures before going to Mom’s house. I think I took about 100 pictures during the 2 hours I was running around there.
I was a bit disappointed that the greenhouse is closed for renovations and they had the Temple to Music pretty much inaccessable behind some fencing (probably in preparation for the concert this week), otherwise I’d have gotten some more pictures. On the way to Mom’s I dropped them off with Eddie for some 1-Hour photoloving and eventually I’ll get around to uploading them to Flickr.
It wasn’t a bad day at Mom’s. I went food shopping with her, and filled a shadowbox with my grandfather’s fire department pins and medals. According to the Barrington Fire Department rules and regulations of 1948, smoking on the fire trucks on the way to and from jobs was prohibited (who knew?).
We had beans and hotdogs and bread from a can for dinner, and a fine desert of home made ice cream cake, and Eddie went and got us a DVD to watch (The Matador, which we all enjoyed a bunch).
Eddie made some burritos for dinner. They weren’t as spicey as we usually get, but were still decent and cheaper than if we’d gone out to get food. We’ve done nothing but surf the web and watch the Dicovery channel all day. Eddie has pointed out a couple of websites that he’d like me to base a new layout for him off of, so we’ll see how that works out. At some point I’ll shower, and I’m looking at some crochet patterns and teddy bear patterns, because I’m rather bored tonight. Maybe I’ll fire up FFXI or something.
