Work last night was insane. First, I missed my exit on the way in, so I had to take the next exit, then too a wrong turn and ended up wandering around Sparkle City Central Falls. Granted, CF is only about 5 streets, but I still had no idea where I was supposed to be going. Shortly after I got in the fax broke, which meant that we couldn’t fax requests for refill authorizations to doctors’ offices, nor could we receive anything from offices that had received faxes from us over the weekend and before the damned thing died yesterday. The phones were crazy, and there were scripts to be filled all over the counter. I stuck around about 10 minutes after closing to get everything that had been entered into the computer filled, but there was still a big stack of things for the RPh to verify and another pile of stuff that hadn’t been put into the computer yet. Figuring that there was no traffic at 9:15pm, I opted to head right to the highway rather than take the back roads home and then pick up the highway from our street, only to discover that the on-ramp was closed and I was still forced to take the back roads back to the house and to the highway. On the way home I was stuck behind some of the slowest people to ever drive on I95, and I didn’t get to Mom’s until about 10pm.

Thankfully, I have the greatest husband ever. I was met at the door with the promise of a hamburger with horseradish mustard and asiago peppercorn salad dressing and a Coke. I turned down an offer to microwave the burger and chose to just scarf it down in the car. Once we were in the car, Eddie presented me with an impromptu gift - a Nikon Coolpix 5600 to replace my Sony Cybershot. While it’s not the sexy beast of a camera that he considered getting me for our anniversary this year, it’s a nice little camera. Plus, the added megapixels is nice for printing pictures. Not a bad camera for $20.

Random note: I really want a pair of these.

Today is my short day at work - 5 hours. Then I go back to Mom’s to pick up Eddie again, and hopefully snag some more leftovers from them.
