I’m home at the moment. I decided to send Eddie to work on his own and not go into school today because I just didn’t want to get out of bed on the first day in 9 months that I’d have the chance to not be required to go anywhere. Instead, I present to everyone my weekend in review.

Friday night: came home with most of a cake from work. Watched TV, played FFXI, chatted with people online. I avoided in-game drama by not logging into the linkshell group, thus enjoying a quiet night to do my own thing for a while.

Saturday: Spent the morning unlocking one of the new jobs in FFXI on my own while Eddie was at work. I also managed to have a conversation with one of the linkshell officers about how I didn’t feel like I belonged in the group, since I’m tied with Eddie as the lowest in the group, don’t feel very welcome, nor do I feel like anyone particularly likes me. He told me that my fears are only fears and not the truth, and that I just need to work on advancing myself. Eddie came home and surprised me with an afternoon quicky, then made some dinner for us. I snuggled with Eddie on the couch for a while, then logged back into the game for about 45 minutes before going to the bedroom to watch SNL and go to sleep.

Sunday: We got up early because yesterday was the opening day of the flea market and we were determined to find interesting crap to buy. Fearing the blazing sun and my pale skin, I wore long sleeves, but neglected to cover the back of my neck and the open area on my chest, so I’ve got the first burn of the year. My mother found a handful of books and a painted “Welcome” slate with a pyramid of penguins on it. She also bought me a big wicker basket full of yarn for $3. The basket itself would probably go for about $10 in a store, easily. In addition to having an assload of this weird red yarn (we think it’s nylon), it also had a bag of assorted trim and a small figurine in the bottom, hidden under the yarn. I spent yesterday afternoon crocheting a ladybug from some of the red. I’ll probably make a lot of ladybugs out of it, assorted sizes. Eddie grilled up some steak and we were all happy and full. We came home, and I uploaded a bunch of pictures to my Flickr account. Once I get a job I can buy a pro account and be able to organize them, and that will make me very, very happy.

Today? I’m sitting around in a breezey tunic, listening to MP3s, making some new graphics for my homepage, and possibly dying my hair. Eddie will be picking up some stuff from work to make for dinner tonight, and I’m gonna slather myself with some lotion and fill out some online applications for pharmacy tech work.
