Last Day
It’s official. I’m completely finished with school. Today was my last day at my externship site, and I’m now completely done. I debated about whether or not to buy the crew a “Thank you” card for putting up with my constant stream of questions over the last 6 weeks, and decided not to because we’re completely broke. About 2 hours before my shift ended, they ended up completely surprising me with a cake frosted with “Best wishes Crystal!” across the top.
“We should have had them write ‘Deepest Sympathies’ on top, to celebrate your entry into the world of pharmacy,” said one of the pharmacists.
The externship coordinator called work yesterday morning to ask if I’d been hired. I told her no, and that the tech trainer said that if we weren’t hired at the training store to let her know so we could get placed elsewhere. Simple enough to understand, correct? Yeah, I thought so too. That is, until the woman called back again this morning, and asked the same exact fucking questions. *facepalm*
