I’ve come to the decision that at the end of next week I’ll be calling school and telling them to put my resume out so that I can try to get into someplace else when this externship is over. I don’t know if it’s just retail, or just this store in particular that’s driving me crazy; I think it’s the store, since they’re not the most organized regarding my externship and haven’t been the most helpful batch of people that I’ve worked with. In fact, while I do know where it is, in the 3 weeks that I’ve been working there, no one every told me where the bathroom was, half the store procedures don’t get explained to me until after I’ve been doing them for 2 days (example - teaching myself the basics of using the computer system because no one took the time to show me how).

Tomorrow should be interesting at work, since I need to find someone to do my 3-week review. Depending on which pharmacist do it, it could be a decent review, or a completely awful review, because while two of the pharms will try to help me figure things out, one of them is a complete cunt. Example: this afternoon I needed 3 scripts to be verified and checked, so I asked the cunty one (who was standing approximately 6″ from the baskets that have the scripts that are ready to be checked) if she could check them and get them out. Her reply was to ask one of the techs to find it and give it to her to check. At this point, I took one step to the left, asked the tech working the bench filling things to pull it out and give it to the oh-cunty-one. He rolled his eyes over the issue, reached over, pulled the 3 scripts out and put them on the top of the pile. There was also an issue about the fact that there’s a daily job listing on the board, which no one has pointed out to me in the 3 weeks I’ve been in there, that I was told I should be checking. And I was also bitched at because no one trained me on the phone system.
