Busy Beaver
As Eddie says, it’s been a long week.
Tuesday I worked up at the front end of the store. Sicne I’m not a licensed tech or tech trainee, I can’t handle any of the production end of things, nor can I do any data entry, and while I’m allowed to run the register I can’t offer counceling to customers. Mind you, by councelling, they mean asking people “Do you have any questions for the pharmacist?” and not offering them medical advice. So Tuesday I worked up front and got a few quick lessons on the registers and with 20 minutes was ringing people out on my own. Mind you, I shadowed people for 6 full hours on Monday and wasn’t confident enough to do anything back there, probably because I spent more time just getting the hell out of the way because it’s positively insane, and people actually talked to me up front.
Yesterday and today I had training. I spent yesterday at home doing training CDs for about 4.5 hours. This was not fun at all. However, it did count towards my weekly hours, which is good. Today I was in East Providence doing more training with the rest of my group, which was fun because I got see to see Crystal again and talk to Dawn about the Easter animals. I promised Dawn I’d have them all done the next time we were at training in the first week of April. Tomorrow I go back to my regular store, and hopefully they’ll actually give me something to do.
I’m getting bored with my website layout - not so much the layout but the existing color scheme. I think I’m going to change things a bit over the weekend. We’ll be home on Saturday because Mom’s going to the casino for bingo, which works out well because our linkshell on FFXI wants to have a meeting that night. Although at the current rate of communication, the meeting date and/or time will change at least twice before then. We’ll have dinner at Mom’s on Sunday. Hurray for free food!
