Sick of Snow and Sleet and Slush
Weatherwise, today completely sucks ass. If it weren’t for the fact that we were scheduled to have a test today and I had to hand in my paper, I wouldn’t have gone in at all. When we left there was about 2″ of slush on the ground and it was a mix of rain and snow coming down. By the time we hit Warwick it was just snow, and by the time I hit Johnston it was snow and driving was slowed down to about 35mph. I press on, because I assumed that if they didn’t close down school the last time we were scheduled to have a decent snowfall, they weren’t going to close down because it was slushy. I get to school and there’s about 30 cars in the lot, and everyone is hanging out in the lobby. Come 7:30am, class is supposed to be starting, and there’s a grand total of 6 people between the two pharmacy tech classes who actually showed up for class. Around the same time, it also started going around the lobby that at about 7am the school notified the local NBC station that there was a 1-hour delay and that classes would be starting at 8:30am. By now, there’s about 80 people in the lobby wanting someplace to sit, and finally they decided to let us into the classrooms at about 8am, but there’s still no sign of our teacher. Eventually one of the admins comes in and tells us we need to go to the other pharm tech classroom because our teacher is out sick. So there goes our test and reports. We ended up spending an hour and a half in the computer room playing on the computers before everyone pretty much took off at 10am.
I’m not sure what’s going on today. I’d like to try out a different Lineage server, because I’m not particularly keen on the idea of getting 40x the normal experience for fighting. I like to play things they way they were intended to be played, not spoonfed everything. I do like the game, and I think that if money weren’t as tight I’d get onto one of the official servers to get the actual game experience, but there’s no way in hell I’m paying $30 for a game code.
