My ferret has OCD
My 4-day weekend started off pretty well, scoring a 96% on my first exam. It would have been a perfect score, but I made a couple of super retarded mistakes. Adding too the stupidity, I discovered that I’d fucked up the last 3 rows on my afghan, requiring me to pull them out - roughly a third of a skein of yarn. Whoops.
I was home by 11:30, and Eddie and I took off to go to the petstore. We found a couple of cat climber/condo things, but it wasn’t much what we wanted. We also saw the most adorable ferrets, all too big and no longer in their cute kit phase, marked down to $100, and I wanted to take at least one home, but Eddie said no. *pout* I do think that a cagemate would help Pickle amuse herself, but I can understand that Eddie wants to wait a bit.
After looking at the animals we went to the Olive Garden for lunch, and then to Target for some bathmats with the intention of going to Petco to look at the pet supplies, but at Target my stomach decided to go crazy and I requested that we just go home. So off we went, back home, with no kitty condo for Pickle, and no petting anymore animals for me. I’ve decided that Pickle has OCD; she needs to have everything in the living room just right, or she will go absolutely insane trying to fix things. There needs to be sufficient space around any object for her to be able to walk completely around it. If there’s not enough space, she’ll lay on her side and scratch at one of the things until it’s been moved, or until one of us goes and fixes it. This is most apparent with her obsession with the amount of space between her cage and the wall, but this afternoon I caught her trying to move a floorlamp because the base of the lamp was touching the baseboard heater.
Speaking of animals, while looking on craigslist to see if there were any ferrets, I spotted this gem:
I am completely in love with horses and want to lease one for free … I have been riding for about 4 years now and I have wanted a horse since I was about 7. I ride english, and I mostly jump, so defiantley a horse that would not be spooked easily. I found a place where I could board the horse. I am a huge animal lover and would never harm any animal.
Good god, people, if it’s free then it’s not a lease. The very definitely of lease should make that obvious enough. That would be borrowing, of if you’ve managed to find yourself a really fucking insane horse owner, a gift.
After an uneventful afternoon of playing WoW (uneventful for me anyway - he leveled) Eddie picked up Taco bell for dinner, and now we’re just vegging out. I’ll probably head off to the couch for a little while to try to catch up on the crap that I pulled out of the crochet this afternoon and then go take a shower or something
