Today was long. Actually, it was no longer than any other day, but it just felt that way.

The flea market was fun. Lots of junk to be bought, but we restrained ourselves and didn’t buy any of it. We did, however, enjoy seeing all the signs made by people who have no idea how to spell things. Today we saw one sign that said “this is a fleat marquet, not a free marquet”. There was another one over a box of clothes that said “These are $1, not 50 cents. SPEAK ENGLISH!” We’ve also seen “mirrow” (mirror), “bajammers” (pajamas), “tose rings” (toe rings), and one really strange speling of drawer that I can’t remember offhand.

Then we headed back to mom’s house for chicken wings and football and homework. I think my mother grinds up sleeping pills and puts them in the hotsauce for her buffalo wings, because I will always fall asleep after eating them, which wasn’t bad today because the Patriots once again showed the world how badly a Super Bowl dynasty can suck when their golden boy spends most of the time making credit card and truck commercials, they lose a coach, and release half their players. Before I fell asleep I tossed in a load of laundry and printed out the pattern for the kimono, so tomorrow I’ll cut the pieces out and see how much I need to change on it to make it fit the monkey. Other than the length of the pieces, not much should need to be changed, but I’ll do a quickie one first to be sure, and base my adjustments off that. I told my mother that after nother monkey or two I may experiment and make myself a skirt and work my way up to something like this, or even this .

Tonight I’m going to get some decent sleep and be ready for school in the morning. My scrubs are all fresh and clean, and god only knows why we needed two fabric softener sheets in a load of 5 pairs of khakies and a pair of scrubs, but hell, we smell nice now. I think I may pick up another pair or two tomorrow after class, so I’m not wearing the same exact ones every day. That’s nasty.

Eddie says he’s going to talk to one of the girls he works with to find out where she got her wig so I can keep my funky hair without pissing administration/employers off. I saw a couple of cute ones on Ebay, but most were shoulder length, and I can’t very well go from cropped hair to something longer overnight, although I could definitely get away with it during my internship next year, because they’ll never see this hair before then.
