Sucky work and sucky bills.
I’m starting to slowly grasp the concept of what my purpose is at work. It’s not that the place is terribly complicated, it’s just that they shoved a lot of information at me yesterday and it was slightly overwhelming. Today I actually got to do some work, simple shit like filling orders, which was good because the girl I was training with couldn’t figure out how to get the speakerphone working and I was essentially listening to one side of the conversations.
I got bitched at by the security guard this morning for parking in a “reserved” spot that didn’t have a sign proclaiming its reservedness. Then he whined about my badge not working and how he had to let me in. Oh, forgive me for actually making you work; since no one has actually shown me how to do anything I’ve gotta figure things out for myself.
Kinko’s called me this afternoon, and left me a voice mail. Hah! It’s only been about 3 weeks since they hired me, forced me to go and fill out a stack of paperwork at some awful hour, and then never talked to me again. They’re such winners. I’m not even going to bother calling them up, otherwise I’ll yell at them for not calling me, getting my hopes up, and forcing me to lose a week’s worth of job hunting time because I thought I’d be working there.
Bills need to be paid soon, especially the car. The cable bill is pretty good, and the gas and power are going down as well.
I took a nap this afternoon after I dropped Eddie off at work. I got home at about 6pm, and slept until about 8:30pm. I needed it; I was practically falling asleep in the car. I might sleep a little while longer tonight before I pick him up at 1:30am, but I’m not sure.
