A Little About Me...

I'm just a 31 year old chick from Rhode Island, married to a Canadian, tattooed, childfree, and a World of Warcraft addict. I fancy myself a photographer, or an artist, but who am I kidding - I count pills and sell drugs to junkies.

Disclaimer

I write about everything. If you don't like it, if it's too personal, if you don't want to hear it, if it offends you, if it's about you, I don't care.

I'm selfish, impatient, and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control, and at times hard to handle, but if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.

Eeep!

The police are here at work for the second time this week. Yesterday morning, someone found a “suspicious white powdery substance” in the ladies’ room. After the cops were here interogating people and had the place on lock-down for a couple of hours, it was determined that the white powdery substance was baby powder. And now, the cops are back, because someone noticed that one of the packages in the barrel for food bank donations is wrapped in Christmas paper.

I’m sleepy. Must be the cough meds. I think I’ve got a touch of bronchitus, but nowhere near as bad as I’ve gotten it before, so I’m not too worried. I think part of the issue is that I’ve gone from living almost 4 years in a smoke-free house, and now I’ve spent the past 3 weeks living in a house with 2.5 smokers (my grandmother recently re-started her smoking). I’ve been having some nasty coughing fits for the past week, so I went out last night and got some primatene inhaler stuff, which I hate, because it makes my lungs burn.

I AM 36% GEEK.

I probably work in computers, or a historydepartment at a college. I never reallyfit in with the “normal” crowd. But I havefriends, and this is a good thing.

Yes, I’m still here.

I’ve been a bit busy these past few days. My mom and grandmother bought a house, and we’ve been doing some work on it over there. Yesterday we attempted to clean 23 years worth of goo out of the oven that’s in the house. Seriously - the previous owners had been there for 23 years, and the stove had never been cleaned. There were places in the over that had to be scraped with a putty knife in order to get the crap off of the metal. I sprayed some oven cleaner on the inside of the oven and grime literally cascaded down the sides in sheets of brownish-black slime. The stove is one of those that has two ovens, one on top, and another under the burners, and both ovens were filthy. There is also a broiler under the top oven, which apparently had never been used, and was entirely rusted out. After two days worth of cleaning it, my mother finally decided that it wasn’t worth the trouble.Yesterday I went shopping. Bought some stuff for my mom, bought me some dye, and some bras, some comic books, and some lipstick. Funny story.Last night, my grandmother boiled some chicken before dinner so that we could make chicken salad for lunch today. Later we sat down and had a wonderful dinner of steak and fries and garlic bread. My mom did some dishes after dinner, and put them away. We sit around and watch a movie and bullshit with each other. Eventually, we all go to bed. This afternoon, Mom and I go out, move the last of my shit out of the basement of the old apartment, and come home, expecting to have some nice chicken salad sandwiches. Of course, no one can remember what happened to the chicken after Nanny left it on the stove to let it cool. Mom thinks Nanny put it in the fridge. Nanny thinks Mom did. The pan is gone. Actually, the pan is in the cabinet under the counter, where mom put it last night while putting the dishes away. Lo and behold, there’s the chicken in the pan! Needless to say, we aren’t going to let mom forget this anytime soon.
