What the fuck?
There’s a guy that I work with, or rather, used to work with. He transferred into a different department recently, which in charge of the scheduling and things. He has some sort of beef with me now. Apparently, he does not agree with my “promiscuous lifestyle.”Umm. Yeah. Promiscuous, my ass.First of all, a few weeks ago when we were discussing vacation requests, he said he was going to deliberately deny my vacation request because he knows where I plan on going, and why I plan on going there. Of course, he said it with a joking voice, so no one believed him. Then he comes by today, and we all thank him for our vacation days, etc, etc, and invite him to the impromptu birthday party on Sunday, and he laughs. At that point, I had to get up and go to a different part of the department to do something over there, and he tells Jess that he won’t go on Sunday because he does not approve of my “promiscuous lifestyle” and “feels dirty” about it. Um, ok, talking to a guy online and making plans to meet him - nothing more than that is planned - is not what I’d consider to be promiscuous. Later, when Jess was talking about something to do with getting a guy, he made a remark along the lines of “Why don’t you just be a little slut like Crystal?”*grumble*Shit like this pisses me off. I can deal with the rumors that people have been spreading about Charlie having an affair. I can deal with the recent rumors that I was potentially “the other woman”. Both of these issues were resolved quickly; Charlie and I have great fun with the rumors surrounding us. So… am I wrong to be pissed? Is visiting a guy I met online considered promiscuous? Should I keep my mouth shut, since this stuff wasn’t said directly to me, and therefore I probably should not even know what was said, or should I stand up and defend myself?
